PFCU Scholarship

2012 Scholarship Application

PFCU has given over $21,000 in scholarships to members wanting to further their education. PFCU is offering two $1,000 scholarships to members of the credit union and you could be the member to win.

If you or any family member are in need of money to help pay college tuition, PFCU Scholarship Program will help ease that burden, by offering two $1,000 scholarships. As with all things in life there is some work involved to apply. Scholarship Applications are available below or you can contact us to have an application mailed to you. The deadline to return your application is Mar.

Entry Requirements:

• Applicant must be a member of the credit union in good standing.
• Applicant must be accepted into accredited college, university, or technical school.
• Applicant must follow the eligibility requirements in the Scholarship application.
• Applicant will be required to take two educational classes, “Money Smart Teens” and “Personal finance for College Students” and pass with at least 9 out of 10 questions answered correctly. Your classes must be completed by February 28, 2012. You will find the classes on www.URmyCU.org under the “Financial Education” link, then click on the “Money Ed” link. You may take the classes and test multiple times until you pass the courses.
• Applicant must complete a minimum 500-750 word essay on:
  
  “Did you think the educational classes were informative? State what financial
  tips you picked up and any suggestions for other classes or improvement on
  the current classes.”
  
  Your essay will help PFCU become more informed on what our younger are members are looking for and what we can do to help them.
  
  
• Your application must be postmarked no later than, Thursday, March 8, 2012 for
  consideration. All applications submitted in person to the Credit Union must be
  received by the date above.

The scholarship application form was created using Adobe Acrobat. You will need Adobe Reader to access the forms. Adobe Reader is a free program that you can access by going to the following website: www.adobe.com

1. Click the link below to open the scholarship application into Adobe Reader.
2. Once the application is open, navigate to the 2nd page.
3. Click in the boxes and begin filling out the required personal information.
4. After completing the application you MUST print it out, sign it, and return it to the credit union along with your transcript and essay.
